As one commenter pointed out, if they were truly French, they'd have surrendered the moment the guards shouted at them in German

Public Pool in Germany Evacuated After Dozens of French Men Jump the Fence

Bret T, Twitchy:

Polymarket is a betting site, not a news site, but I caught them posting this earlier this week.

“I immediately wondered if these French men were like Maryland man Kilmar Abrego Garcia. I looked all around for more information, but the best I could find was an article posted to Reddit.”

Around 50 to 60 men from France reportedly made repeated attempts to enter an outdoor pool in Kehl, on the border with France, without paying admission. As a result, the police cleared the swimming pool in the Auenheim district, east of Strasbourg, on Sunday, according to their statement. The group is said to have climbed over the outer fence.

During the incident, multiple verbal altercations occurred with the security personnel. Furthermore, the "intruders" emptied trash cans and failed to abide by the applicable pool rules, the police reported. The security service reportedly ordered the group to leave the premises several times, but the men did not comply with the instructions. When the arriving police cleared the swimming pool, the troublemakers left the scene unrecognized.

Based on witness statements, the police informed WELT that the group was visually described as North African. It was no longer possible to conduct identity checks.

Oh: that kind of French.

Lil Wayne no-shows opening tour concert in Maine as fans are left outraged

Lil Wayne left fans outraged after he failed to take the stage at the opening night of his “20 Years of Carter Classics” tour Tuesday in Maine.

The rapper, 43, was scheduled to headline the first stop of the tour at Bangor’s Maine Savings Amphitheater, but after opener 2 Chainz performed and a DJ kept the crowd entertained, Lil Wayne never appeared.

His set had been scheduled to begin at 10:45 p.m., but by 11 p.m. the crowd was informed the show was over.

Waterfront Concerts President Alex Gray apologized to the crowd, saying it was the first time something like this had happened in the company’s 251-show history, according to local station WABI.

Who tipped him off beforehand?

Must viewing — and clever; who knew the RNC was clever? (Updated)

Land contract, 1 Pecksland Road — updated – the master parcel at 122 Round Hill Road has also now been reported under contract

1 Pecksland Road, contract reported yesterday, 2.47 acres, guide price $5.450 million. It appears to be part of a 4-lot subdivision 9or is a 5th still out there?) of the 17 acres once attached to 122 round Hill Road that was sold to this developer on April 1st of 2026 for $14,850,000. 122 Round Hill Road, still retaining 7 acres and the original 1923 house is also for sale, also as land, [Update: under contract as well, presumably to the same buyer] for $13.950. 8 Sheffield Way, nee 0 Sheffield, 3 acres, two of which can be built on, is being offered at $5.950 million and another lot, now designated as 6 Sheffield Way, 2.1 acres, is priced at $4.950 million.

Total, those four lots comprise 14.57 acres, leaving 2.3 acres; I may be missing a fifth listing, or my math is wrong (not an impossibility — in fact, it’s likely), but anti-disirregardless, there’s a big parcel of land available out on Peckland/Sheffield.
