While it’s impossible to calculate the exact sum because there’s no indication of who would be included in the payoff: half-bloods? Octoroons? High Yellows?, it’s possible that we’ll need all of that hundred trillion dollars to meet this gentleman’s demand for $3 million for each colored person:
