I've been yelling about this for two years
/“The Republicans in Congress have failed, catastrophically so, to take any actions to implement the policies that those self same Republicans claim will improve matters. If those policies are so important and so good and so necessary, then why has legislation implementing those policies not been passed? The Democrats most decidedly are able to pass what the Democrats deem important. Why have the Republicans not done the same?”
My only other comment of the wipeout, at least for now, is that it wasn’t the Iran mess that was directly responsible for the debacle, it was the should-have-been-entirely-predictable effect it had: the price of gas. Most Americans, I suspect, couldn’t care less what happens to Iran: bomb ‘em, burn ‘em, leave ‘em alone, meh. But they do care about the price of gas, and they see it every time they fill up their tank. Never mind that it was higher under Biden, that it will cost still more when the Democrats they have returned to power resume cancelling pipelines and restart the beanie propeller boondoggles, they don’t don’t think that far behind or ahead.
So, bad move on Trump’s part.
