ICE agent struck by fleeing criminal, the Left cheers, but the local police department's non-response is the worst part of this story

ICE Agent Opens Fire After Being Struck by Fleeing Vehicle

This morning and ICE agent working along the New Jersey shore was struck by a fleeing vehicle after he tried to arrest the driver. The agent was injured but fired several shots at the fleeing van.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. in Manahawkin, which is located about 36 miles north of Atlantic City.

Stafford Township Police say they were notified that the ICE agent was attempting to apprehend someone. The person was fleeing in a vehicle on Mermaid Drive and then struck the ICE agent, according Stafford Township Police. The ICE agent then opened fire at the vehicle, and reportedly struck it.

The person was able to drive away and has not yet been located. It's not clear if that person was injured.

We are now two separate countries: those who want to see America preserved, and those who hope for its destruction. The police department of of Stafford Township and the entire New Jersey government are clearly in the latter camp. The way I read the department’s statement, they provided no assistance in the initial stop and then, after a fellow law enforcement agent was injured, stood back, indifferent, making to attempt to locate and arrest the criminal because “hey, that’s not our job”.

The Stafford Township Police Department clarifying that they were not working with ICE either before or after the incident.

Information was provided that I.C.E. was attempting to apprehend a suspect when the suspect fled from the scene in a vehicle, striking the I.C.E. Agent.  The agent discharged his firearm at the vehicle, reportedly striking it.  The suspect fled the scene in the vehicle and has not been located at this time.  The agent reportedly sustained unknown injuries and it is unknown if the suspect was injured at this time.  There is no reason to believe there is any concern for the public’s safety.

Stafford Township Police adheres to the Attorney General’s Immigrant Trust Directive and was not assisting or a part of the I.C.E. operation.  The ongoing investigation is not being conducted by Stafford Township Police. Our role at this point is to manage traffic and secure the crime scene.
