Carlos Ghosn escapes Japan for Lebanon hidden in a musical instrument case.

Millionaire fugitive Carlos Ghosn escaped from house arrest in Japan this week with the help of a paramilitary group from Lebanon posing as a Gregorian orchestra, it emerged on Tuesday.

While awaiting trial for financial crimes in Japan, the 65-year-old former Nissan CEO was loaded into an empty musical instrument case after receiving a visit at his home in Tokyo from a musical band whose members turned out to be mercenaries, Lebanese TV news channel MTV said Tuesday.

Ghosn saved Nisan from bankruptcy and was a hero in Japan, until he wasn’t. I presume Lebanon has no extradition treaty with Japan, so good for him. Our former congressman was just a limp dickwad; Ghosn’s pretty cool, and so is this escape caper.

Last price cut of the year

But stay tuned; we’ll surely see more in 2020. 62 Sterling Road is down to $2.775 million after starting at $3.995 in 2018. Built new in 2007, it once asked $5.695 before its builders gave up and rented it out. These owners bought it for $3.850 in 2013, a purchasing decision they almost certainly now regret.

There’s nothing wrong with this house that a change in location wouldn’t cure but, unfortunately, that’s difficult.

Bringing "organic" to a new level at Whole Foods

Homeless man digs into Whole Foods’ entree bar

A drooling and pungent homeless man made double-dipping look like child’s play at a Midtown Whole Foods, grabbing from the hot food bar with his bare hands to stuff his bearded face — as employees just chuckled and said they were powerless to stop him.

A Post photo editor had just plunked down $17 for a jerk chicken dinner at the store across from Bryant Park Sunday night when he spotted the grungy gourmand ignoring numerous “no sampling” signs to treat the bar like his personal feed-bag.

The unidentified chowhound pounded mac-and-cheese and mixed veggies, at times using serving spoons to pack multiple dishes into a plastic cup he’d brought with him from the outside.

But at other points, he simply dug in with his visibly-dirty mitts, grabbing food from the trays and shoving it directly into his mouth, wet with drool and framed by a scraggly beard.

In the closest thing to a display of personal hygiene from the man, he stopped every now and then to lick his fingers clean.

All the while, Whole Foods workers looked on, smiling and laughing — while doing nothing to stop the pig-out.

“Oh, he comes here all the time,” said one employee of the freeloader. “We can’t do anything about it, we were told.”

Down in the polls, but still on the warpath: Elizabeth Warren to open casino to help cover campaign costs

It’s not about me, it’s about my people

It’s not about me, it’s about my people

No scalping; our customers will receive fair odds, she vows

“After spending several minutes digging deep into my rich 1/1024th Cherokee heritage, and communing with my spirit animal --you know, like we genuine Indians do all the time,” Warren announced at a recent campaign rally, “I feel the spirits of my ancestors guiding me to open a brand new casino; complete with a buffet, generous slots, and the hottest shows in history!”

Warren hopes that the new casino’s revenue will compensate for the decrease in campaign contributions and says it will even have a theme. Much like Caesar’s Palace’s ancient roman theme or Circus Circus’ killer clown theme, the presidential hopeful says her casino will have a socialism theme that is sure to be fun for the whole family.

“When you enter the casino, we want you to feel like you’re entering a socialist utopia! Whether you’re waiting in the breadline at the buffet, losing all your hard-earned money to the ruling class, or cheering at the executions of political dissidents, this will be a truly immersive experience!” Warren said.

This scoop is from the Babylon Bee, though you can hardly distinguish it from the real news article about Steven Hayes, below. And in fact, Warren has a love-hate relationship with casinos. She opposed them in 2014, co-sponsored a bill to establish one for the entirely imaginary Mashpee Wampanoag tribe in 2018, and just this past March, though her name was removed from the effort at the insistence of the faux-Indians, watched from the sidelines as her bill was reintroduced:

Elizabeth Warren Out as Mashpee Wampanoag Federal Land Bill Backer

A federal bill that would restore the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe’s right to call land in Massachusetts to its sovereign reservation — and build a $1 billion casino on it — is due to get its first hearing in Congress next Wednesday.

The US House Committee on Natural Resources on Wednesday could rescue the troubled Mashpee Wampanoag reservation and its planned tribal casino in Taunton, Massachusetts — if members approve a supportive bill.

But according to sources who spoke to news site Inside Sources this week, Warren is out.

“Everyone knows it’s her bill, but they [the Mashpee] don’t want her anywhere near it,” said IS’s source, who is described as an “industry insider.

Despite being a co-sponsor of the bill last year, Warren has not endorsed or supported it since the latest Congressional session began. IS claims this is part of a strategy by the Democratic leadership of the House to push the controversial legislation through Congress with as little fanfare as possible.

Once again, the Bee is straying perilously close to becoming the country’s primary source of straight reporting. It’s already eclipsed that other fake news source, CNN, and is steadily encroaching on the New York Times’ territory

Gender Dysphoric is transitioning, and your tax dollars are paying to accommodate his delusion

Steven Hayes is undergoing “gender transition therapy” while he rots in prison.

One of the most notorious killers in Connecticut has come out as transgender and is undergoing hormone therapy in prison.

Steven Hayes, who is serving six life sentences for a deadly 2007 home invasion, opened up about his gender transition during a series of jailhouse calls for “15 Minutes With,” a podcast with host Joe Tomaso.

“I am a transgender. I was diagnosed at 16 with sexual identity disorder and my family never acknowledged it and it was never treated,” Hayes told the host in an Oct. 12 episode.

Hayes remains in a maximum-security prison in Greene County, Pa., after he was convicted along with Joshua Komisarjevsky for the killings of Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters, 17-year-old Hayley and 11-year-old Michaela. [In fact, the duo tortured and raped the two girls and their mother for two days before burning them alive — “killings” hardly does them justice - Ed]

Hayes said he started hormone therapy more than a year ago while incarcerated. The inmate didn’t state whether he has begun using female pronouns, but said he has altered his prison gear to be “feminine.”

“There’s hormone therapy,” Hayes said. “There’s other things that I’m looking to get.”

But Hayes said he’s faced challenges undergoing the gender transition process while in lockup.

“There’s a lot of problems with the presentation as a female,” Hayes said. “I mean a lot people accept it, but this facility here, you have a lot of racist and bigot [sic] staff and they’re not happy.”

Mr. Hayes has previously self-identified as an Orthodox Jew. Presumably, all that required of the taxpayers was the cost of a yarmulke; breast implants and the installation of a vagina will be more expensive, but what price, human rights?

No wonder little Greta is so peeved — the planet is gone

“Barack Obama has only four years to save the world. That is the stark assessment of Nasa scientist and leading climate expert Jim Hansen who last week warned only urgent action by the new president could halt the devastating climate change that now threatens Earth. Crucially, that action will have to be taken within Obama’s first administration, he added.”

Ego dies hard

Goodbye to all that

Goodbye to all that

Bruce Willis has finally sold his Bedford home for $7.66 million. He paid $12 million for it in 2014 and had been asking $12.5, but the market for weekend homes in the hinterlands isn’t what it used to be.

Willis has been selling all his properties east of California recently: NYC, Turks and Caicos, and Idaho, a deaccessioning that brings to mind the Corleone family’s retreat from the east coast. But the Corleones relocated to Nevada; Willis may come to regret putting everything in the land of the woke. I’d have counseled him to at least preserve his sanctuary reside in Idaho, but he sold it last year for $5.5 million, seven years after putting it n the market for $15.5.

I’m guessing that the guy can easily afford to take a couple of hits to his real estate portfolio (he sold that Turks and Caicos place for $27 million, and the NYC digs for $17.775, essentially breaking even), but if California ever turns on its billionaires, he might regret holding illiquid assets anywhere on the Pacific coast.

Not on the scale of their "proof" that Trump conspired with the Russians, but all of a piece

“Disillusioned Trump voter” quoted by DNC, NYT, et al, didn’t vote in 2016

An allegedly regretful Trump voter in Pennsylvania, highlighted in videos by a Democratic political action committee and by The New York Times, never actually voted in 2016.

News organization JET 24, an ABC affiliate, found after checking county voting records that Mark Graham of Erie County, Pennsylvania, did not vote in the presidential election three years ago.

Mr. Graham is featured in videos funded by America Bridge, a Democratic PAC, as part of a $5 million advertising campaign in the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.

In an ad, Mr. Graham states, “I voted for Donald Trump in 2016 because I thought he would make a change.” But he laments the change was “not for the good,” and complains that the president “plays favorites for people like himself … he doesn’t understand life around here.”

He was also featured in two New York Times articles about dissatisfied Trump voters and swing voters. The Times has since issued corrections and verified that Mr. Graham did not vote in 2016.
